BIOGRAPHY
Tim Gwynn (He/Him/His) is the Director of Learning and Talent Development at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Elementary Education in 2003. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Charlotte where he taught 5th grade for 4 years before obtaining his Master’s of Education in Instructional Technology. He became the school’s Instructional Technology Facilitator for 7 years, coaching teachers on technology integration in the classroom and on the best practices for engaging learners. This passion for coaching and educating adults lead him to corporate training and talent development, serving as a Senior Instructional Designer for several corporations around Charlotte before joining Krispy Kreme.
While at Krispy Kreme, Tim launched five Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) supporting Women, Working Parents, Black and African American employees, Hispanic employees, and LGBTQ+ employees. While co-leading Krispy Kreme’s LGBTQ+ ERG, Original Pride, through its inception, he established Time Out Youth as the ERG’s community partner. Tim still serves on Original Pride’s leadership team as the Global Pride Chair, coordinating and supporting Pride events for Krispy Kreme employees around the world.
Tim currently resides in Charlotte with his husband, Sam, who he met while playing rugby for the Charlotte Royals Rugby Football Club. He loves to spend his extra time hiking, bike riding, enjoying new restaurants, and hanging out at some of his favorite cocktail bars.
